Ke Iki bike path. Sam you will have such an awesome time riding any bike along the path. ‘we more kick back bradha’. From Foodland to the Sunset Beach Christian Church to Pipeline/Ehukai Park. Rest & chill & look out to Pipeline (Be sure to say hello to the Lifeguards) Then onto Chambers-chill there. Then onto Sunset beach. Maybe see Owl Chapman…Legend.(Thank him for all that he has done) Then continue to Freddies & the old V Land Ghetto Apartments location, where I use to live in the 90’s. So nice. Such good Hawaiian people. No…not ghetto…but Aloha Apartments of the 90’s at V land actually right in front of Freddies. Best apartment complex ever in the entire world. But oh well they got tore down in order to make Mansions. Just think, the Ghettos of yesteryear are the mansions of the future. Enjoy what you have because in 20 years you may have to be rich to order to retain it. (Think sky high taxes).
Hawaiian people don’t need bricks & mortor & Italian marble. The beauty is in the LAND. Lush Green, Blue Ocean & Coconut Trees is the HAWAII RICH LIFESTYLE.

I am so psyched for North Shore HI. November is almost here. That means NORTH SHORE…V land, Sunset, Makaha, Diamond Head & even Waikiki. Are all part of knowing & understanding Hawaii. North, South, East & West. All of Hawaii. Breathe in Hawaii and exhale Aloha. The Youth will continue the ancestral connection with the lands. Anticipation is the joy of youth. I am so excited I could burst.

Dreaming about an OWL CHAPMAN Surfboards. A 9’+ and 10+ single fin is ok because Owl thinks they work. (Whatever Owl says, Listen because he know. So if he says Single fin 9′ then ok.) But myself, I would like the thruster option because it is what I am used to.
I would like a used board as to keep the price down. Something for Sunset & Pinballs. Maybe something around the shaping factory with some dings than I could repair. Anything OWL CHAPMAN has shaped.
In the 90’s I had the best job working at Foodland from 4:30pm-midnight. I would ride my bike from the V-Land Apartments past the Sunset Beach Parking Lot and see Owl Chapman chilling with some people. He would wave & smile. I would ride my bike back home at midnight sometimes stopping under Pipeline’s full moon. The other workers at Foodland would tell me to be careful. Be Haole careful late at midnight. I smiled and thought I’ll be ok I can take care of myself. They were so nice the co-workers at Foodland in the 90’s. So nice. All the Movies, all the Aggro, all the Black Short drama is FAKE MEDIA. The ALOHA is REAL. Yes I was lucky and maybe in hindsight they knew more than me about their culture, but life does have some risk and I never ever had any issues in HAWAII. Just magical times.
And maybe God intents the young to be overconfident and the old to be overcautious. But regardless when I think back upon Hawaii 90’s culture in the thick of a HARD CORE SURFER ENVIRONEMT…the people were all good people. Really good, good people. So caring, so family, so loving. So protecting of ‘other’ good people.
I’ve been back with my eldest son ten years ago and the vibe is still North Shore surf energy. The the aggro vibe has diminished greatly. People told me, ‘oh the Haole beatings happened 20+ years ago but not anymore’. They say times where hard core back then.
The Mansions & money moved in and the environment went a little softer. That’s ok. Time changes and the pendelum swings throughout history. Hawaii is a sacred place. Hawaii is pure energy. There are many places on earth that have that special MANA ENERGY. This earth has energy. Enjoy it. Be empowered by it YOUNG PEOPLE. It’s all for you. You don’t have to ask for it. It is rightfully yours. No permit needed. Stay HAWAIIAN.
